For my second assignment, we were asked to do a project that had something to do with weddings. With my 12th wedding anniversary less than a month away, I had the perfect opportunity to work on another page for my yet unfinished wedding album. In defense of myself, I have not been scrapping for those 12 years, only about 7, so my wedding album has gone unfinished for 7 years, not 12!!
The flowers I had at my wedding were purple crocuses, yellow daffodils, red tulips, and some little tealish colored accent flowers. They were beautiful arrangements. I have tried to stick with those colors, either alone, or combined, for the theme of my album. For this page, I started out by stamping the scalloped cardstock with a watermark inkpad and Buzz and Bloom's Paisley Passion UM stamps. I know it is hard to see in the picture, but in person, it is fabulous! After I layered all of my page components, I took a large chipboard monogram, and layered it with a Buzz and Bloom Large Corner Flourish. I trimmed off the excess flourish, so the edges were flush. I gave them a coat of white acrylic paint, and after that dried, I coated it with a coat of sparkle sealant, and defined the edges of the flourish with dimensional sparkle paint. After it dried, I added to word "Do" at the bottom of the letter, and I adhered the whole thing to my page. I embellished a bit with some paper flowers and rubons, and the page was complete!
