Every mom is proud of their child's achievement and I am no exception! Nura danced in her first public solo at the CSTD's Asia Pacific Dance Competition in July with a beautiful costume and tiara, and the photo called for a special layout to keep in her album. I chose the Aboretum: On the Grapevine: Frame as an embellishment to the page because of its classically beautiful, intricate design.
The frame was painted a pale blue using an acrylic dauber.
Then I sprayed two colours of shimmer mist in pale gold and copper, letting them dry completely.
A bright turquoise embossing powder was used to add texture and more colour to the frame. The watermark ink was dabbed on randomly and the embossing powder pressed into areas of the frame. You can cover the frame as much or as little as you like, even use more than one colour of embossing powder to create layers of embossing.
Close up .........
After assembling the layout, the final touch of tiny gold and pearlescent acrylic pebbles were glued to the frame to add interest.
This is how the texture looks up close ....
The techniques demonstrated above are not difficult, they only require time and effort. The wondeful thing about these techniques is there is no wrong or right, it's totally up to you, so have fun, experiment with chipboards and create a special piece uniquely yours !!!

this is just beautiful...the pebbles are the perfect touch!!
