I had an absolute blast creating this art canvas. I adore this vintage automobile from Buzz and Bloom's new acrylic collection. And, the new chipboard The Avenue city scene is awesome. What fun it was to create with these new products!!!
I first dusted off my H20s (remember those iridescent paints?) and painted the canvas. Next, using chalk inks, I colored the new Buzz and Bloom The Avenue chipboard piece. I gave the Buzz and Bloom Take the Cannoli acrylic car some silver hubcaps (metallic paper on back). I discovered that a white-out pen works perfectly for highlighting on the acrylic.
This layout was made using Buzz and Bloom's 3D What A Hoot chipboard piece. Although it comes as a 3D set, I chose to use it flat. I inked the tree in a creamy brown chalk ink. Next I punched out many circles from patterned paper and attached. The word "who" is using Buzz and Bloom's Distracted School Girl chipboard alphabet. I embellished with ribbon, rain drops, and flowers.
I also discovered how well you can color Buzz and Bloom's chipboard using colored pencils. The color just glides on. I colored the owl with pencils and used a drop of Diamond Glaze on his blue eyes.
I had a great time creating these two projects. The new Buzz and Bloom acrylic pieces are fabulous. And, I continue to be pleased with the high quality of all Buzz and Bloom products. I personally think they are the best on the market.
