Hello, and thanks for visiting the Buzz and Bloom blog!
I'm totally excited to be back for 2010, to share with you some Buzz and Bloom products and my creations! Hopefully the layout share today will inspire you a little, with your own scrapbooking.
This layout, which I have completed is called "Baby Kitten" an old photo of one of my little fur babies, Anabelle. It's so important to scrap every member of your family, pets included! You don't need "pet" specific products to do so. Use anything in your stash that you like, and shows the personality of your pet.
Raw chipboard is perfect for this, because you can paint it, cover it, do whatever you want with it, to suit the layout you are doing. For this layout, I simply painted the title, bird and flower, to coordinate, also adding in hand doodling, and a bit of glaze on top to make it shiny.
Products: CB: Totally Too Tweet , CB:Shelby Alphabet , CB: Head Start: Blossom (This item has been discontinued, but there are heaps of other great designs in the Head Start range. They'll give you a Head Start on your next page!)
The CB: Head Start: Blossom flower was simply covered in some glue, then I addied paper on
top, then carefully cut around the shape with a blade, and then sanded
the edges to finish off the shape.
I added a little button in the middle, too.
For the MIR Be Mine - Love, I smeared some paint over it, and wiped off, leaving a super thin layer, and highlights on the edges and corners.
I also did the same to the Heart at the bottom, from the same set.
I added in some fabric scraps, paper scraps and other bits and pieces, to coordinate with the painted and covered chipboard pieces!
I would love for all of you to scrap your special pet, or maybe even childhood pet, those memories are so important!!
