Hello everyone!!! This is Janis from Manila, Philippines. I'm sooo happy and excited to be making my first official post for Buzz and Bloom.
For my first three posts, I want to introduce my inspiration behind my scrapbooking - my family. They are the usual subjects of my pages and you will be seeing more of them in my next Buzz and Bloom projects!
Meet my dear sonny, Phil. He's a super active three year old kid who loves everything with Superheroes. Here is a layout I made of him showing off his Ben 10 ball:
I used Fab Long Corner Flourish - Indigo on both corners of my photos. I love how the denim fabric gives instant texture on my page - it is an instant favorite of mine! I also threw in CB Pointer Swirly Snails for that playful accent on my page.
I did a bit of experimenting here. It was only recently that I learned that I can extend my acrylic paint by adding gel mediums. I still don't have such gel mediums, so I just used my Sparkle Mod Podge, the lone glue I could spare on my stash. Since my Mod Podge also has its "sticky" property, I threw in some transparent craft beads in the mixture as the glue would ensure that the beads would adhere to my chipboard. I love how it turned out!!!
For my title, I used CB Distracted Schoolgirl Alphabet. I just punched holes on my chipboards, applied acrylic paint, and topped it off with Ranger Glossy Accents for that glazed look.
I love to put captions on my kiddie pages (they're always a hit with my family!!!) and this is where the CB Shout Outs spells pure fun! Here, I topped my chipboard with Ranger Crackle Accents just to see the difference in textures of both accents.
