I ran across this old picture the other day of my son at his first summer job... making sweet treats at Cafe Du Monde. I had mixed feelings about him working. I mean, of COURSE I was proud that he wanted to earn his own money (and it made our pockets glad!). But, him working just made it SOO obvious how old my baby was getting. It was with those emotions swirling that I snapped this picture of Jamani (and his cousin) on his first day of work. As I looked at it the other day, I smiled because I realize that this job helped to prepare me for Jamani leaving the nest permanently. If I teared up because he got a job he came home from every day, can you IMAGINE how I would have CUT UP if he had gone straight to college without EVER leaving home???!!! Wouldn't have been pretty! I decided that I was ready to scrap this memory! I couldn't think of a better use for my BUZZ AND BLOOM awesomeness!
One of the features I love about BUZZ AND BLOOM chipboard is that it can be used for feminine AND masculine projects... it just depends on how it's dressed up. The space between the boys was just crying out for a CB POINTER SWIRLY SNAIL... don't you think?? And, even though you mostly see me using the CB TUBBY ALPHABET or the CB THAT 70s ALPHABET, I felt that this page needed something more bold. So, I decided on the CB ANALOG ALPHABET... perfection!!! I blinged everything out and my BUZZ AND BLOOM goodies embellished my page without overwhelming my picture... I've got to pull out more old pictures!!!
