I couldn't help it! When I first saw Miranda,
the old Chaka Khan song "I'm Every Woman" popped into my head. Because
how sassy is Miranda?
Doesn't she look like she works all day, gets the kids from school and
goes home to freshen up before cooking a five course meal for her family
and husband's boss? And, since I'm ALSO that kinda woman (in my
dreams!), I knew that I wanted to use Miranda
on a page about me. My 13 year old WONDERFULLY captured a decent
picture of me for Easter (thanx, Mahd!!!) so I was able to create this:
I used a clear sheet of paper so the picture and embellishments would really stand out. I painted Miranda with black glossy puff paint and added a piece of FANCY PANSY (how clever is that name?!?) which I blinged out to jazz her up. I used both the upper- and lowercase VETTE chipboard alphabets for my title. Now, I know you see those cute BUTTERFLIES strategically placed all over the page(in my hair, on Miranda's ankle,on the "O" in "woman")! Beyond them just being outright ADORABLE, there IS method to my madness!!! I REALLY wanted to use the VETTE alphabet for my title but I realized that I had run out of uppercase "O's", so I decided to just use a "Q". Now,I could have just used my craft knife to cut the extra pieces off but I'm going through a clumsy stage right now (I currently have two craft-related and one cooking-related cuts on my hands!) So, I figured I'd COVER rather than CUT. If you look closely at the "Q", you can see the line peeking out from behind the BUTTERFLY
BUZZ AND BLOOM...cute AND functional!!! What have YOU been using your BUZZ AND BLOOM to create recently?
