Ahh color combos!
Always an assignment that I find a bit tricky, I'll be honest and say I do not love the restriction of sticking to certain colors, so how lucky was I to see that although this is a tricky color combo assignment, the colors just happen to be some of my absolute faves, and aplenty in the scrap stash.
Red, blue, green, always fun to work with.
This layout - "sea side" has only a few embellishments, as I wanted to keep it simple, and let the cute patterns show through.
For the main chipboard title, I wanted my letters to stand out. I simply covered the CB Vette Alphabet - Upper case letters in some tacky glue, and placed them down onto the back of the paper.
Once dry, I carefully cut out each letter using a blade, and then sanded the edges off to finish.
To finish off the layout, and add a little bit of something to the left of the photo, I broke a mirrored acrylic piece( MIR Mirror Mirror On The Wall ) in half and tucked the frame under the photo.
I scratched up the back of it, using the blade, and then smeared in some green paint, so it had a bit of color to it, I then carefully cut it in half, to create two seperate pieces, to use as a ruffled look.
Thanks so much for checking out the blog, and make sure you come back soon for more layouts and scrappy goodness.
