When I heard that one of our design team challenges was going to be to share a secret, a little known fact, or some other little known fact about ourselves that would normally go unscrapped. However, I am an open book. I learned a long time ago to never do anything in private I wouldn't want made public. Then I came up with one fact about myself that maybe some people don't know and that is that I still, at 30 years old, sleep with a stuffed animal. Lately it has been my Ugly Dolls, but most often it is a teddy bear. I know it may be a little childish, but I love to have something soft, cute and cuddle to snuggle when I go to sleep.
In this layout I used the Homefront papers from Studio Calico and a number of Buzz and Bloom chipboard products. You can see most of the Buzz and Bloom chipboard products in the photo below. For my title I used CB That 70's Alphabet and CB Vette Alphabet - Countdown. For the cream letters, I used some cream acrylic paint. I usually paint the sides of the alphas as well, but I liked the dark edge this time, to give the cream colored letters more of an outline. The numbers were sprayed with gray metallic Maya Mist and then both parts were topped with Glossy Accents.
I also used some of the new CB Buttons here. The green one was painted and the brown one was sprayed with Maya Mist and then topped with Glossy Accents before being stitched down to the page.
The last piece of chipboard I used was a shortened piece of the CB Beaded Curtain. I didn't use the whole length here as you can see. The chipboard, though very sturdy for applying lots of medium, also cuts easily. So now I have another piece to use on another project. This section was painted with some light blue paint and topped with Glossy Accents, which was a little difficult to apply to the narrowly cut areas. I think a mist would have worked out better.
