"My Fairy Tale" by Aida Haron

In each person's life there are always highs and lows and how we react to these moment have so much to do with the influences of family and social environment when we were young. My tale is about growth, about how much I have learnt through relationships with family, friends and co-workers.

I used Buzz and Bloom's Unmounted Stamps Pretty Things III which are both elegant and perfect for this project. For an added twist, instead of pigment ink, I used thick acrylic paint in dauber bottles and stamped the designs on transparencies. This gave the images a chalky, old style look I wanted to use for the album.

Be sure to wash the stamps throughly using a soft small brush making sure the acrylic does not dry in the grooves.

For the cover, cut out a window to fit the design on the tranparency and attach.

Continue stamping other transparencies, adding a folded strip of patterned paper on one end. I have decorated the transparency with a a cardstock tree on one page and a sentiment on another for more interest.

In between each transparency page I added a cardstock page for the journaling as well as to provide strength to the album.

Complete the album by binding the pages either by sewing or simply punch holes in the sides of the pages, then using jump rings which may be decorated with ribbons.

"The Princess and the Pea" by Keri Brooks-LaClair

Meet my new puppy, Brodie.  The Princess and the Pea for sure!  She surely thinks she is royalty and owns the place!  Hidden journaling reads:  Ever since Brodie realized she was big enough to jump on the couch, she has taken up permanent residence.  Luckily, she prefers the end that her sister Harley doesn't like!  It is so fun to see her growing up!

I really wanted this layout to have a royal, rich feel to it, so I went for a lot of gold.  The problem with that is, that it did not scan well at all, and reflected even worse with a digital photo.  This is the best I could get it, and I was so bummed, because the photo does not do the layout justice!  The background  is gold, and all the stamped images are embossed with gold EP.  I used Buzz and Bloom's UM Divs Rounds stamps to create a background.

  For the ever so elegant title, I opted for Buzz and Bloom's Initially Alphabet, also embossed in gold embossing powder on black cardstock.  I left a small border of black around the letters to make them really pop. 

Now, I just need to get the layout in an album before this ever so proper fairy tale princess decides to chew it up! 

"My Prince Charming" by Tania Davey

I have created this layout about my real life fairy tale.  My prince charming and I met on the web when i was not a happy girl, He made me happy and moved himself across the country for me, 6.5 years later and 1 child .. we are living a real life fairy tale, and will live happily ever after.

To create the background for this layout i used a sheet of patterned paper and a sheet of tissue paper, I scrunched up the tissue and stuck it to the patterned paper using a watered down tacky glue, adding more glue, and sticking the tissue down as I went. Once this had dried a bit I dry brushed some metallic paint over the tissue to change the colour from a stark white to a champagne colour but leaving enough of the patterned paper showing through. I then added more Patterned paper and embellishments to the layout, and finally using the Buzz and Bloom Love and Kisses Alphabet Stamps I embossed the title onto a piece of cardstock, and then cut around the whole title and foam mounted it onto the layout for a bit of dimension. I simply inked the Buzz and Bloom Tubbby ABC Mini's and some photo corners from the Buzz and Bloom Frames -Crown.

"My ((Real Life)) Fairy Tale" by Laura Solomon

I just loved the funky male & female stamp and the 'wonderful' stamp from the Buzz and Bloom Wonderful Unmounted Stamp sheet! I stamped the chipboard with red and black ink - you KNOW it had to match the paper!

I loved writing about my Real Life Fairy Tale as my life certainly HAS been one! The journaling tells about how in 2001 I was a (former) Princess and like Snow White I had 7 adorable dwarfs (kids) and it WAS pure magic that I met my Prince Charming (Jeff)
