In my attempt to mix the color combo red, teal and green together (with neutrals) I have to say, I had quite a difficult time. However, I pulled through and made it work. Here's my oldest son when he graduated Kindergarten a couple years ago.

Yes folks, ABCD's....as my 2 year old likes to call them. Unlike the rest of us, who call them our ABC's.
I've been having fun with all the alphabet choices that Buzz & Bloom has to offer. There's so much versatility and you can dress them up or down to suit your needs. This is good for people who are wanting to coordinate their embellishments. I don't know how many times I've gone with just a white or black alpha choice only because I couldn't find the right yellow or green alphabet set to match my layout.
I played with a few different chipboard alphabet sets recently and just loved the outcome.
First to share is my layout "Family Portrait." I used CB That 70s Alphabet for this one. I decided to leave the chipboard as is, as to not overdo the look I was trying to achieve. I kept it simple.
Here's a close-up of another layout I did with a bunch of 411 (who, what, where, when). Don't try to come visit me... I no longer live at that address on the invite. My number has changed as well. LOL I mixed a bunch of different glitter alphas together and covered CB Diva Alphabet (what) in gold stickles glitter glue.
Another thing I love about Buzz & Bloom alphabets are the font styles. They are so different from other choices out there and that, I love! In this next layout titled "Sexyback" I simply used the shape of the CB Analog Alphabet by painting around it when I had it down on my paper. Then, I removed it to be used later on something else. What I had after removing the alpha set was what I guess you can call negative space.
I was doing you all a favor by not scrapping the front side pics. LOL And to think, my husband thinks I really erased these shots from the camera. LOL

Everyone that knows me (IRL and online) knows that I LOVE Scrapbooking. It is just one of my many hobbies that let's me express who I am as an individual. That is why it is not a surprise for me when I get emails from people wondering if I'd consider doing a custom order for them. These people either don't scrapbook themselves or just simply need the help getting pages done. With my love for this craft I am ALWAYS willing to lend a helping hand! Are you kidding me?
It sometimes takes me forever to think up something to do with my own pictures but somehow I am instantly inspired to create with other people's pictures.
Today I want to share a LO I created for someone using the CB Heart Throb shapes.
BOAT DOCK
It says there are only 7 pieces in this package but if you break it up you will come out with 11 pieces. I only had to use 3 pieces to achieve the look I wanted for this LO. You will easily find that a little B&B here and there goes a really long way!
You won't find any journaling on this LO only because I am leaving the personalization to the person I made this LO for. She could wrte down her own memories from this day as she remembers them. You will see that leaving the B&B chipboard naked (as I have done on one of these hearts) really brings out a natural look for the LO. I wanted the colors to be very muted and I feel like leaving some of the B&B pieces naked worked best. I did cover one partially with a wood grain patterned paper and then stickled it with little dots up the edge to give it a more unique look.
It's easy customizing these B&B chipboard pieces to the way you want them to look. Here is one of the bigger pieces from the set. I punched out the 4 heart shapes (that is how I ended up with 4 more pieces) and I backed it with coordinating cardstock. Then, I stickled dots on the outer edge and used a glitter stickles to bring a grey color into the center of the piece. I flanked some blooms around it to bring it out a little more and Voila! A quick LO that's easy on the eyes.

This is my 2nd LO for Buzz & Bloom. Last week I worked around a LO of my oldest daughter Deja - The Magic School Bus. This week I decided to create a LO of my youngest daughter Eva and it's titled GREEN DAY. I LOVE that rock band and the color green. Plus, the girls attire is mainly green in the photo so I thought I'd play off that.

I used a green acrylic piece that is discontinued from Buzz and Bloom. However, you could always substitute the piece with an ACR - Beaded Curtain to obtain a similar look.
I also used a CB Mini Token - Space Cadet. I painted and stickled it to bring it out more. I LOVE that you can alter these pieces to your liking. That's it from me this week. TFL!

I'm a NEW Design Team Member for Buzz & Bloom and I am SO very happy to be here to inspire you this year. I am a proud mom to 4 kiddos so every now and then you will get to see a peek into my everyday world as I scrap their lives.
I LOVE altering things and for my very first layout I wanted to stick with something simple. I decided to dig into my CB Mini Tokens - Going Places package and alter the car token. I wanted to make it look like a school bus. I did this by using paint and stickles in coordinating colors that matched the rest of my layout (sky blue and yellow). The tokens are engraved and so there are grooves on the token which makes it easy to seperate the paint colors and I found it rather interesting that the colors didn't easily blend because of this. The colors stayed where I wanted them to.
The token was small enough to not make such a big impact on the overall layout but the piece I needed to put it altogether - since the layout was all about the school bus.
The photo's are of my eldest daughter when she was in Kindergarten. Being that she was in Kindergarten she only had a half day of school and she could only catch the school bus coming home. I remember when she couldn't wait to get into the 1st grade just so she could have a full day of school and catch the bus to and from. Catching the school bus made her feel like such a big girl. I remember smiling SO big this day as I watched her walk down those big steps with her short little legs and the laugh I let out once she stopped and posed for a picture. Check out her pose! LOL
